One dead, five injured in Pinetown crash

ONE person died and five were injured in a head-on collision on Forrest Road in Pinetown on Sunday afternoon.

According to Chris Botha, media liaison officer at Netcare 911, paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found the road littered with debris and the twisted frame of the vehicles.

“Medics treated the injured at the scene before transporting them to nearby hospitals. One person died, one was seriously injured and four people suffered minor injuries,” said Botha.

SAPS are currently investigating the exact details of the cause of the crash.
