Sarnia School celebrates new sport facility

Sarnia soccer and hockey players and staff are excited about the new multipurpose Astro Turf.

THERE was great excitement at Sarnia Primary School during the official opening of their multipurpose Astro Turf recently.

After the ribbon-cutting by Sarnia principal, Peter O’Neill and governing body member, Byron Creed, there were two exciting matches; the first soccer team against the staff team and after a short, but much needed break, the first hockey girls competed against a competitive staff team.

The games took place during the lunch break with the whole school cheering on their teachers and occasionally their peers.

Sports coordinators, Tao Roos and Caitlin Read are extremely excited with this awesome facility and said they cannot wait to see the improvement in sport at Sarnia Primary School.
