Enjoy cultural diversity at the Durban Picnic Day

THE third annual Durban Picnic Day promises to be bigger and better this Easter holiday.

The event which will be held on Sunday, 16 April at Moses Mabhida People’s Park is one of the many exciting events that Durbanites and holiday goers could look forward to.

The Durban Picnic Day event celebrates the cultural diversity and cosmopolitan mix within the city of Durban and offers a fun, musical and cultural experience for the whole family.



Award winning local artists such as Professor, Lvovo, Okmalumkoolkat, Dj Cndo will be performing on the day.

Durban Picnic Day offers a perfect mix of music genres from hip-hop, rock, dance, house
and Durban kwaito.

Crowds could look forward to a line up of artists such as Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, Kwesta, Kid X and Crazy white Boy, just to name a few.



The objective of the event this year, is to create an unforgettable experience for the whole family, with some new additions such as a kiddies area, which will be available on site at an additional fee, along with a few other surprises.

This event is organised by Durban Tourism, KZN Department of Arts and Culture and East Coast Radio. Gates will open at 12pm till late.

Tickets are available at Computicket, they cost R200 General and R500 for VIP. Cooler boxes charged at R 100, but no cooler boxes after 6pm.

No cooler boxes allowed in the VIP. Cash bar and food stall facilities will be available on site.

No glass bottles allowed. Children under the age of 12 enter free. Kiddies’ area available on site at an additional fee.
