STAR College Grade 9B community learners, accompanied by their teacher, Ahmet Pak and the school’s PA, Sara Hayden, visited the local residents of Clermont recently to hand out food parcels to the poor.

Star College had a food drive for the month of June, collecting as many sustainable foods as possible to help community members from disadvantaged areas.

The day was an emotional one as it humbled the learners and staff who noticed there are so many people in need. Star College hopes that in some small way, it has impacted lives.

In total, 770 food parcels were collected and distributed to areas such as KwaDabeka, Umlazi and Mariannhill in June. Star College thanked learners and parents for helping.
