Armed men strike again at Hillcrest jewellery shop

Robbers smashed the shop window and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

FIVE armed men robbed a jewellery shop in Hillcrest Corner earlier today, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of jewellery.

Private investigator, Brad Nathanson said this is the fourth time the shop has been hit in a space of a year.

“The five armed men smashed the shop window and took jewellery worth a substantial amount of money and fled in a white Toyota Corolla with an NE number plate,” said Nathanson.

No one was injured during this incident and police are looking for the robbers.

Centre manager, Beverley Wilson confirmed the robbery, but said they will not be commenting any further at this stage.

Nathanson said he received another unconfirmed report of another jewellery shop that was also robbed at the Springfield Value Centre just after the Hillcrest shop was hit today (12 January).

“According to reports, it seems like the same people but this time, the criminals were using two cars, the white Toyota Corolla and another one which I do not have details about.”
