Westville school collects 641kgs of recyclable waste products

Carryn Maher (marketing), Amy Webster (Wildlands Trust), Richard Brown (principal of WSPS) and Rozanna Stone (Swan Cafe) with several learners from the school who have made major contributions to the school's recycling projects.

WESTVILLE Senior Primary School is on a journey to go green, as it proudly supports recycling initiatives that contribute to the maintenance of a sustainable environment.

Last year, the school collected a total of 641kg of recyclable waste products such as cardboard, glass bottles, soft drink cans and plastic bottles such as milk bottles, cooldrink bottles and water bottles.

Amy Webster from the Wildlands Trust was the special guest at assembly on 28 March. She presented the school principal, Richard Brown, with a certificate to thank the school for its support of this worthy cause.

The frame which held the certificate was made out of recycled polystyrene.
