THE Westville Senior Primary School’s U11A and U13A football teams have returned victorious from their annual football tour to Gauteng and Limpopo.
The U11 squad were again victorious in their age group category, retaining the trophy they achieved last year.
They were undefeated in nine matches, winning seven and drawing two.
Wanda Nxumalo was voted the Most Valuable Player in his age group which featured 210 players.
The U13A squad narrowly missed out on the gold medal final by losing on penalties in a tightly contested affair against the overall age group champions, Crawford Pretoria.
They won their third place match and received bronze medals. They played 10 matches, winning nine and only losing one, a great achievement as there were 24 teams in their age group category.
