Police seek relatives

PINETOWN police are looking for the relatives of an African man who was hit by a car on the M13 Highway near Kloof on Sunday, 13 May at about 2.40pm. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and died the next day.

He is suspected to be 40 years old.

Relatives or anyone with information that can assist police trace his relatives can contact Sgt Nonhlanhla Zwane on 073 144 3779 or Crime Stop on 0860 10111.

Two arrested during police operation

TWO suspects, aged 29 and 33, were arrested in the Hillcrest area on Thursday, 20 June during an operation done by the eThekwini Inner and Outer West Cluster team together with the Provincial Trio Task team.

Police were conducting crime intelligence driven operations when they were led to a house in Molweni and found the first suspect with a 9mm pistol and live ammunition.

A second suspect was arrested for possession of heroin and a toy gun which is believed to have been used during criminal activities in the area.

Police will investigate possible links to other criminal activities in the area.

The Cluster Commander, Major General James Sayer, has commended the team for a great job saying, eThekwini Inner and Outer West Cluster is not a place for criminals and encouraged the police to continue rooting out crime and protecting the community.
