FORMER South African cricket all-rounder, captain and TV commentator, Shaun Pollock, was the guest speaker at a special breakfast at the St Elizabeth’s Anglican Church in Westville recently.

Shaun requested that congregants compiled a list of questions that he would respond to at the breakfast. In addition, he also answered questions from the floor.

“The answers to these questions covered Shaun’s faith, strong Christian beliefs and demonstrated the important role that this plays in his every day life. Shaun also responded to several aspects regarding his cricket career and also spoke about the future of South African cricket,” said the church’s rector, Anders Litzell.

He is confident that South African Cricket will do well in the future due to the sound structure that Cricket South Africa has in place as well as the great potential among the youth.

“The feedback from some of the people who attended this breakfast was very positive and that they really enjoyed Shaun’s talk which was very interesting and inspiring,” said Anders.
