St Benedict School

St Benedict School lives up to its patron’s ideal that everyone is special in God’s eyes, deserving of respect, love and cared for in a community of friends and equals. The whole school ethos is based on this idea.

The school provides a quality Independent School education at the lowest possible cost offering the challenge to children to become future Christian leaders of South Africa, able to think and reason independently while working inclusively as a rainbow student body stemming from it’s long history as a multi-racial school ahead of many other schools in South Africa.

From Primary to High School, every pupil is important as has been the case since the school was founded in 1956 under the guidance of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood in an old wood and iron house with only 32 pupils.

Today over 400 pupils benefit from this strong beginning and the school has grown into a flourishing campus affording pupils the best education in a nurturing environment.
